A Salute To: Wedding DIY

So many people from my growing years have gotten engaged or married this past year, that I've naturally slipped into a wedding designing mode. Although my nuptuals are a ways off into the distant future, it doesn't hurt to look, right?

I'm a BIG fan of DIY and creativity. Weddings on a budget seem to bring out a lot of this in the right people. For some it is just too much to add on top of the planning stress, but for others, it is a way to add that personal touch to their special day.

My favorite trend of the moment has to be natural and rustic weddings. Mason jars, twigs, wild flowers, outdoor venues, picnic receptions, ect. I just love the relaxed, causal feel and the intimacy of the occasion.

These are just a few examples of some handywork i've seen:

Allow me to introduce myself...

Hello there, internet, and welcome to my blog!

This is where I'll be flapping my gums about anything and everything I feel is important in some kind of artsy way. You may not share my sentiments on everything, but I've got a good variety of tastes.

So, who the heck am I?

I'm a super senior at East Carolina University's School of Art & Design studying Metalsmithing and Textile design. I *should* be done with everything school related by May of 2012, but you never know...

I hail from Raleigh, NC, but because of school I am currently stuck in Greenville, NC. I live in a little duplex near campus (whose DIY projects and interior design experements will frequent this page) with my two roomates, Tom and Dingo, and our cats, Clem and Smidge.

Well... that's about it, I suppose. Hope something interesting catches your eye!

Anna, out.
